At VexisBio, we are committed to delivering high‑quality research products and contract services to biotechnology companies, academic institutions, and clinical research organizations. Our offerings—including custom antibody and antigen development, Alzheimer’s disease–related biomarkers, and specialized assay kits—are produced under strict quality standards. Due to the scientific nature of our products and services, the following Refund and Returns Policy applies.
Overview
Most VexisBio products are biological reagents, custom‑manufactured materials, or contract research services. These items are not eligible for return or resale once shipped or delivered. However, we stand behind the quality of our work and will address any verified performance issues promptly and professionally
Non‑Refundable & Non‑Returnable Items
The following categories are not eligible for refunds or returns:
- Custom antibodies, antigens, peptides, and recombinant proteins
- Custom assay development, biomarker assay services, and Alzheimer’s disease–related kit development
- Contract research services, method development, and analytical services
- Made‑to‑order ELISA kits, detection kits, and specialty reagents
- Products that have been opened, used, or improperly stored
- Products past their expiration date
These items are produced specifically for each client and cannot be restocked or repurposed.
Quality Guarantee & Performance Claims
If you believe a product does not meet the specifications stated on its datasheet or agreed‑upon scope of work:
Provide:
- Lot number or service order number
- Description of the issue
- Experimental conditions and supporting data (if applicable)
- Storage conditions and handling details
Our scientific team will review the information and may request additional details to evaluate the claim.
If the issue is confirmed to be due to manufacturing error, QC deviation, or service performance failure, VexisBio will, at its discretion:
- Replace the product,
- Repeat the service, or
- Issue a partial or full credit toward future orders.
Refunds are issued only when replacement or re‑performance is not feasible.
Shipping‑Related Issues
If a shipment arrives damaged, incorrect, or in compromised condition:
- Report the issue within 48 hours of delivery.
- Include photos of packaging, labels, and product condition.
We will coordinate replacement or corrective action as appropriate.
Order Cancellations
Because many VexisBio products and services are custom‑made:
- Orders for custom products or services cannot be canceled once production has begun.
- For catalog items, cancellations may be accepted only if the order has not yet shipped.
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing.
Storage & Handling Responsibility
VexisBio is not responsible for product failure resulting from:
- Improper storage (e.g., incorrect temperature, freeze‑thaw cycles)
- Use outside recommended protocols
- Contamination or mishandling after delivery
No refunds or replacements will be issued in these cases.
Contract Services & Milestone Payments
For contract research, assay development, or custom production:
- Milestone payments are non‑refundable once the milestone work has been initiated.
- Deliverables are defined in the Statement of Work (SOW).
- Any disputes regarding deliverables must be raised within 10 business days of receiving results.
